Tragedy In Connecticut
-
Yesterday any parents' worst nightmare came true- Can anthing be done to prevent this from happening again? Yes- my solution is to have every school also hold a police department satellite office, staffed with 2-3 officers, minimum. If one is needed for a call, the other two stay behind. There will always be one officer left at the school, patrolling it, with the police cars parked right in front.
Or hire armed guards, but seeing we taxpayers already pay the police to protect and serve us they should be doing that.

So it's basically free, right?
'every school also hold a police department satellite office'
'If one is needed for a call, the other two stay behind'
How much extra cost do you think, Joe?
At 10:30 PM, Joe G said…
LoL!
We would use the existing police staff, so any cost would be in making an office for them to use as a base.
The existing police staff would just be distrubted differently. Instead of having twelve officers "downtown", you have the same twelve- 6 downtown, 2 at the elementary school, 2 at the middle school and 2 at the high school. From the six left downtown you pick your patrols.
And the cost to build and maintain an office at the school is nothing compared to the lives of the kids.
OK, asshole...

So how much per
'every school also hold a police department satellite office'
I think, lowball, $500k per school. Joe?
At 10:40 PM, Joe G said…
Why would using a classroom for an office cost $500K a year- maybe $500K for the entire country-
But yes you are a lowball and obvioulsy you also have something against children living. Strange...

A room and a radio- heck they could hang out in the gym or cafeteria.
IOW it could be done with no extra costs, moron.

'every school also hold a police department satellite office' = "classroom'.
Thinking isn't really your strong point, is it Joe?
You've clearly never worked in any real business.
At 11:09 PM, Joe G said…
LoL! Yes Richie, obvioulsy you don't know how to think- they just need a room and that room will be their satellite office, dumbass. Or they would just share the school's existing office- heck they're supposed to be patrolling the school anyway, moron.
At 11:11 PM, Rich Hughes said…
For police to be effective, all they need a room with a radio that is a satellite office. Fantastic.
At 11:24 PM, Joe G said…
What a fucking dumb asshole you are, Richie.
In order for police to be effective they need to be ON SITE. And all that entails is having at least one officer stationed at each school.
They could just share the school's existing office- heck they're supposed to be patrolling the school anyway, moron.
At 11:25 PM, Rich Hughes said…
Okay, so let's not look at the provisioning cost at all, because it's too difficult for you. One you agree that your project needs on extra police officer per school for existing police work not to be diminished?
At 11:31 PM, Joe G said…
NO EXTRA POLICE. We would use the existing staff and all that may suffer are the speed traps.
Patrolmen patrol, Richie. True we may have fewer patrols on the street, but that is a small price to pay for protecting our kids.
So Richie has to make shit up to try to make a point.
At 11:34 PM, Rich Hughes said…
So your basically taking one officer off current detatchments per school, right?
At 11:37 PM, Joe G said…
LoL! Still making shit up, Richie-
What detachments? Please be specific.
Going to the donut shop doesn't count. Setting up a speed trap doesn't count. Meeting you in the men's room doesn't count.

Its not my fault you haven't thought through / can't articulate your plan. How many police per school? What woudl they be doing if they weren't in the school?
At 11:44 PM, Joe G said…
No it's your fault that you are an ignorant fuck.
What detachments? Please be specific.
Have you ever been to a police station and observed officers just sitting around waiting to do something? I have, in many different towns and cities.
So stuff it ole ignorant one.

Ooooh! I like this. There's a small town near here that has a police force of 8. They have 3 schools. Under Joe's plan, this town will only need 6 to 9 of its 8 officers to complete his plan.
Since these 6 to 9 officers will obviously have to work the day shift and that represents the entirety of the force, I guess the entire force will have to work 16 hour shifts, 7 days a week.
Great plan, Joe!
