Is the earth getting warmer? We can only hope as a warmer earth is much better than a cooler earth.
But anyway- Water Vapor Rules the Greenhouse System:
As I have said in the past I doubt the gases are the problem. SOOT is the enemy of ice and snow. Get soot on ice or snow and the ice/snow will melt when the sun-light hits it. This is a well-known and observed phenomena.
BTW- the earth has only warmed about 1 degree F over the past 100+ years. And that is well within the margin of error, which means the earth may not have warmed at all.

Just how much of the "Greenhouse Effect" is caused by human activity?
It is about 0.28%, if water vapor is taken into account-- about 5.53%, if not.
