A pebble for a hand axe? Really? To identify a possible stone hand axe, first it has to look like one. Next you look for signs of work- both to the stone and anything it may have been used on. Then you look for other possible tools, bones and even evidence of fire pits. Anything that nature wouldn't have or couldn't have produced.
