Design is a mechanism, by definition. Does that mean that all definitions of "design" and "mechanism" will match? No, but that is what Kevin R McCarthy aka Ogre MKV aka Smilodon's Retreat, has to say. He said that I was cherry picking by finding the definitions that fit my claim of "design is a mechanism"!
Seriously folks, that one is an imbecile. How can someone be so stupid as to not understand that words with several meanings it all depends on the context as to which definition(s) apply? He even used that as his defense, ie that he found a definition that doesn't fit so I am wrong!
How pathetic and desperate our opponents have become...

We wouldn't expect anything less from the people who say it is OK to kill unborn humans. And, next up, same family marriages, plural marriages, different species marriages- all perversions will be OK.
Marriage, once something special, won't be. It is a sign of our decline. I can see why you would cheer such a thing.

I have pretty bad forefeelings about gay marriage legalization as well.
I classify design as one way of bringing something into existence. Airplanes,
computer programs, computers, etc. are all designed. (and there is no
other way of bringing them into existence).
It's also often used as a synonym to "structure of designed things". Ex:
"The design(structure) of the computer", "The design(structure) of
the human body", "The design(structure) of furniture" ,etc.
